Paramus is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The borough has an estimated population of 26, 352 (according to the 2010 US census). Paramus is a suburb of the New York City. It is located 13 km west of Upper Manhattan and 24 to 32 km northwest Midtown Manhattan. The borough was created from portions Rochelle Park, formerly Midland Manhattan. Paramus was incorporated on March 2, 1922 after a referendum passed a vote in its favor. The borough covers a total area of 27.246 km².
