We've been using the Costco pharmacy since we moved to Oregon last year. Every time we've been, we've been served by an old guy. Don't get me wrong, I admire the fact that Costco employs older people and I admire that the elderly working there are actually doing something and staying active. But this man is slow and very rude. He gives absolutely no eye contact, and it seems like he doesn't really care about what he does. Earlier today when we went to get my prescription, there was a problem with the computer for the till. Instead of participating in small conversation with his current customer, he stood the whole time with his back to them and his arms crossed. When it was finally fixed (the line had grown to over 5 people by then), he walked very slowly to get the customer's medication, and didn't seem to care about the people waiting in line for their prescriptions. Then it came to my turn to be served. I asked a very simple question on whether my form of insurance was covered for the medication that I was getting. He took my insurance card and walked VERY slowly over to a colleague, bending my card as he walked as though it was his property, then walked slowly back to me and, very bluntly, said, "This store doesn't accept insurance of YOUR KIND," and emphasized the 'your kind' as though he meant it in an offensive way. I said it was ok as we had cash on us just in case and he stood, blankly, for at least 15 seconds before asking if we still wanted to get the medication. He handed my bent card back to me as my husband handed him the cash, and I told him I didn't need a bag. Apparently that was offensive to him, as he sighed very loudly as he got the paperwork and the small box out of the tray to hand to me. Then he almost threw the change back at my husband. Even though we were still standing there as my husband tried to organize the pile of change he had just thrown at us, he called for the next person making us feel even more rushed and unwelcome. I'm sure this is supposed to be a review of their customer service, but in my opinion, there was no 'service.' He was rude, blunt, and acted like, because he was there spending his day working, us customers deserved to wait a long time to even be served by him. I'm not one to name and shame someone, but I'm sure that other customers reading this who have been served by him, know exactly who I am talking about. If you're going to work THAT slow, then maybe it is time to retire.

Sure the prices are good sometimes great but the store layout always annoying!! Absolutely nothing makes sense as to how or why its laid out in such a way nothing makes any sense. A for instance crackers might be next to clothes which migjy be near dog food and then its more carbs. Detergent migjt be ne s r a cooler and coffee in a stand slone area gar away from the rest of other coffees or teas. Im not suggesting this is the actual way things are laid out just the way you feel after being there s few minutes. The only thing I can suggest that it might be this way is to force you to have to look at the whole layout ro make ypu buy more
