I just had the worst experience at Best Buy! I've made a lot of purchases at this store, browsed, etc etc, and NEVER been treated this way. The only difference between today and other days? I'm normally dressed nicely. Today, I made the mistake of wearing sweats to the store. In the vacuum aisle, while I was looking at home carpet cleaners, I opened the phone charger box I was holding to see if it would fit my phone, and a staff by the name of Dan saw and asked if he could help me. I asked him about the home carpet cleaners and he questioned me about the box. I clearly demonstrated what I was doing, then chatted pleasantly with him about the vacuum I had just bought there in December while I closed the box and put it down to examine the home carpet cleaners. After awhile, I realized he was standing over me. When I alerted him to my discomfort, he told me "I think I'm going to be your personal shopper" in an intimidating tone. When I tried to complain to the customer service manager, he did not even listen to me! He interrupted me repeatedly, which flustered me (and I had already been made nervous by the aggression from the previous interaction). After the fifth or so time that I asked to be heard, he called me "out of control" because I pointed at him--POINTED. AT. HIM. So scary. Then he threatened to call security and have me kicked out of the store. So my takeaway here is that people dressed for disability and/or bodily pain are apparently thieves. Yes, I'm complaining to corporate! Yes, I'm posting this every review location I can think of. No, I'm not shopping there unless they react with accountability. UGH!
