Phatt Taco has made a spectacular comeback in August. The restaurant reopened its doors in a new space at 20 South State Street, Uptown Westerville – just a few metres from its former location.

After operating at several locations throughout the city, Jose Becerra, the owner of the eatery believes that he has found the perfect spot to run his business.

The restaurant has been rebranded (for the second time) as “Tostadalicious” and hopes to bring authentic and healthy Mexican food to Uptown Westerville. The process started about a year ago when Jose’s three-year lease was up at 50 N High Street, Colombus. This location wasn’t the best for the restaurant business. With no liquor licence, the eatery had a hard time attracting a crowd in the evening and on weekends.

The new spot in Uptown Westerville is about half the size of the old restaurant. The new restaurant occupies about 1,100 square feet and features 15 indoor seats and 15 outdoor seats.

What to Expect

Diners can expect a new look to the restaurant and a great dining experience. Everything about the space, food, and service is anchored by finely tuned details. The dining room is lit with sculptural lighting fixtures, has beautiful furnishings and the walls feature amazing pieces of artwork. The restaurant also offers genuinely friendly and unobtrusive yet attentive service.

On the Menu

Along with the new look, Phatt Taco has a delicious new menu to match. The eatery has redefined its menu to offer a great gustatory experience for the most discerning palates. It’s worth mentioning that Phatt Taco only sells healthy snacks and quick meals. It uses fresh ingredients and a unique cooking style to make healthier dishes. For example, the restaurant uses seasonal fruits and vegetables to make its salad. The signature sauces are made daily with no stabilizers and the tostadas are gluten-free. Additionally, the restaurant uses coconut butter and special spices for all the house-braised meats.

The store doesn’t sell any high-fructose corn syrup drinks, instead, it offers Mexican Cokes and beverages made from 100% pure sugar cane, bottled water, and naturally flavoured juices.

Phatt Taco is open seven days a week – Monday - Saturday: 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., Sunday 12 noon - 5 p.m.
