Work is currently underway at the location which was once home to the Bob Evans Restaurant. Reports say that Panera bread have signed a lease, and the previous building has been knocked down with work currently happening on the new one. The Bob Evans location has actually been derelict since way back in October 2017. Since then West Side Evansville residents have been wondering what will take its place. It wasn't till the end of 2018 that Panera Bread officially signed a lease to take over the space.
Panera Bread residents currently have to head over to 220 N. Bukhardt Rd in order to get their favourite foods. This Evansville location is on the Campus of Deaconess Gateway Hospital, but this new location is set to be a big improvement on the existing location. Because of the complete rebuild, the Panera Bread location will be brand new, and beautifully designed with an extensive menu and include many items not offered at the other branch.
Panera Bread are well-known for offering a huge selection of salads, pastas, soups and of course, sandwiches. they also offer a large selection of breakfast items including a morning continental breakfast that comes with a selection of bagels, pastries, cheese, butter as well as orange juice. They have also recently introduced a big variety of healthy breakfast options including strawberry granola parfait, almond oatmeal, as well as baked egg souffles.
The premium signature sandwiches are much loved by many, and include things like roast turkey apple and cheddar, as well as the Mediterranean veggie option which comes with sweet peppadew peppers, feta cheese, cucumbers, Vine ripened Tomatoes, red onion and cilantro-jalapeno hummus.
